Maui!

I leave to come back to Boston on Monday night. With such little time left I looked online at some flights to other islands. I ended up going to Maui. ($70 on Go!)
We have had strong weather the past 4 days with high winds. It was a 20min flight from Honolulu to Maui, we were warned about a rough landing.... The landing was a nightmare. We are about to touch down then we are hit by a wind gust pushing the craft over the grass and not the runway! We did touch down safely...
The first thing the pilot said when were were stopped was "Giggity giggity"

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do on the Island yet so I walked. I knew they had an amazing state park near my hostile. I did more walking than planned (about 5 miles more) so I found myself a nice cafe to have some dinner and a glass of wine in Walulku. (no state park today) Pictures from the walk:

The valley that you see below is the Iao valley. From what my taxi driver told me this is where the last major battle between tribes of the islands was. After the battle they islands were one kingdom.

(I'm at the hostile now.... I will give a full update on the homophobia and transphobia that is taking place now that we are watching American idol. )
(... and there is camel toe..)
