Sun Rise @ Diamond Head
So we got up at 5am to go watch the sunrise at Diamond Head.
It is known as Mount Leahi. It stands 760 feet from the ocean and 560 feel from the crater floor. You ascend just under a mile on a trail which is unpaved and uneven. You have to climb 271 steps through a narrow spiral staircase inside a bunker.
The Bunker was used as a look out point during WW2. There is still an active battery unit in the crater. (side note: Oahu is the most militarized area in the United States.)
